背景介紹：Ribosomes, the organelles that catalyze protein synthesis, consist of a small 40S subunit and a large 60S subunit. Together these subunits are composed of 4 RNA species and approximay 80 structurally distinct proteins. This gene encodes a ribosomal protein that is a component of the 40S subunit. The protein belongs to the S7P family of ribosomal proteins. It is located in the cytoplasm. Variable expression of this gene in colorectal cancers compared to adjacent normal tissues has been observed, although no correlation between the level of expression and the severity of the disease has been found. As is typical for genes encoding ribosomal proteins, there are multiple processed pseudogenes of this gene dispersed through the genome.

間接免疫熒光標記法 本方法費用較低，二抗應用廣泛，多用于科研標本的檢測。但由于二抗一般為多克隆抗體，特異性較差，非特異性熒光背景較強，易影響實驗結果。所以標本制備時應加入陰性或陽性對照。另外，由于間標法步驟較多，增加了細胞的丟失，不適用測定細胞數較少的標本。
